Shine&Go NZ (Shine&Go Limited, "we", "us") provides residential and commercial cleaning services in Auckland, New Zealand. This policy explains what personal information we collect through shineandgonz.com, why we collect it, and how we look after it, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us through our forms or by contacting us:

• Free estimate form: your name, phone number, email address, suburb or address, property type and size, the services and add-ons you are interested in, preferred date, pets, access instructions and any message you write.
• Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional) and your message.
• Technical information needed to keep the forms secure, such as browser and network signals used to tell people from automated bots.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and prepare your estimate.
• To arrange a visit, quote and carry out the cleaning work.
• To keep our records and send the invoices and documents related to your service.
• To protect our website from spam and misuse.

We do not sell your information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Services we use to handle your information

To run the website and answer requests we rely on trusted providers, who process information on our behalf:

• Our hosting and automation servers, where form submissions are stored securely.
• OpenAI, an AI service we use to help summarise an estimate request and draft a reply. The details in your estimate request, which may include your contact details, are sent to this service for that purpose only.
• Google: Gmail to send and receive our emails, Google Maps to suggest addresses while you type, and Google reviews that we display on the site.
• Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check that helps block automated spam.
• Email and invoicing tools such as Hostinger Email and Xero, to communicate with you and issue invoices.

Some of these providers store or process information on servers outside New Zealand. We choose providers that apply appropriate security and privacy protections.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and estimate details for as long as they are needed to deal with your request and for our business and tax records, and delete or anonymise them when they are no longer needed.

Security

We use secure connections (HTTPS), restricted access to our systems and spam protection on our forms. No online service is completely risk free, so please do not include sensitive details such as bank or card numbers in your messages.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to any legal record-keeping requirements. If you are not happy with how we handle a privacy concern, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Cookies

Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Some of the services above (for example the security check or Google Maps) may set technical cookies needed for them to work.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
